A new combined day-travel ticket has been introduced for the Danube Bend, combining the local services of MÁV, Volánbusz, HÉV and Mahart for trains, buses and boats. The 24-hour day pass is valid from 5 August, and can be used to visit popular excursion destinations such as Pilis, the Börzsöny hills and riverside locations, until the end of September.

Two versions are available: an adult day ticket costs 1,999 forints, and those under 26 can enjoy a reduced fare of 1,499. Tickets can be redeemed at the station and partner cash desks of state rail company MÁV-START. It is also expected that tickets will be available for purchase via MÁV’s mobile phone app, from 15 August.

Tickets are valid on MÁV-START rail lines 2 (Budapest-Esztergom), 70 (Budapest-Vác-Szob) and 75 (Vác-Diósjenő-Balassagyarmat), Volánbusz bus services 300-399 and 800-898 (which affect such tourist destinations as Esztergom, Szentendre and Vác), and along the HÉV 5 line, between Békásmegyer and Szentendre.

Finally, tickets can be used on Mahart's scheduled Danube Bend excursion, where passengers can choose between the Vác-Visegrád, Esztergom-Zebegény, Szentendre-Visegrád or Visegrád-Nagymaros-Zebegény-Dömös routes.
