Pizzica Due, a recently opened branch of popular Budapest pizzeria Pizzica, has reconfigured its operation during shutdown. With currently seven options for home delivery or takeaway, Pizzica Due La Pasta now hits the spot with three vegan and four meaty choices.

When Pizzica Due opened on downtown Egyetem tér in December, everyone was looking forward to the kind of top-quality, Roman-style pizzas made popular by the original branch on Nagymező utca.

Now, under shutdown, the second outlet has branched out into something new but along similar lines. Like the pizzas before, pasta here is made from fresh dough. The menu isn’t overelaborate, with three basic vegans and four well-known carnivorous classics to choose from, such as puttanesca, amatriciana or just lasagne, but you can also find pasta with a sausage-gorgonzola-pistachio topping.

Browse the full selection on their Facebook page. Whether Pizzica Due goes back to pizza-making after quarantine depends on how customers take to the pasta concept.
