UK music legend Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz fame is coming to Budapest next May. Part of a two-week European tour, the concert at the Müpa cultural centre will also feature a large band and striking visuals.

Inspired by his experiences in his spiritual home of Iceland, Damon Albarn’s upcoming show The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows calls at several cities across Europe. Budapest is scheduled for 20 May, right after a sell-out concert at the BOZAR in Brussels.

Backed by strings, wind instruments, percussion and electronics, the UK’s most prolific and eclectic musician will be reflecting on the passage of time and the fragility of nature.

The event takes place in Müpa’s Béla Bartók concert hall, renowned for its superb acoustics.
