noon - 11pm: Gourmet Festival at Millenáris Park
A prominent event in the Hungarian culinary agenda, the annual Gourmet Festival takes place this year between Thursday and Sunday at the Millenáris Park on the Buda side. Budapest’s top restaurants, fine wineries, pálinka distilleries and confectioneries set up stalls to proffer delicate dishes to discerning visitors.
8pm - 11pm: Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience at Papp László Sportaréna
Music is coming… Series often annoy viewers with unnecessarily long intros, but Game of Thrones is one where you don’t have to click on skip as the theme song is great. If you are a fan of the hit HBO series and its soundtrack, this show is totally for you. Listening to live renditions of the most epic soundtrack moments – from all seven seasons in the series – while watching each of your favourite characters get their own tribute montage is about as good as it gets. Renowned composer Ramin Djawadi brings Westeros to Budapest’s Papp László Sportaréna on Friday – don’t miss.
11pm - 5am: 20 years of Britney at VOLT Lokál
On Friday evening VOLT Lokál celebrates the princess of pop playing her most popular songs from the past two decades. To shake up the repertoire, some of the hottest and most awkward hits of the '90s and 00's also feature.

9:30am - 2pm: The Right Royal Saturday at The Living Room
Follow the royal wedding of Meghan and Harry on TV at The Living Room in the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus, and enjoy a rich fare at the Benediction Brunch. On this long, lazy and luxurious Saturday morning, eggs Benedict inspirations will be served, complete with champagne and oysters.
9:30am – 1pm: Rákóczi Breakfast at the Rákóczi Square Market Hall
Start your Saturday with a great community breakfast. All the necessary equipment such as tables, chopping boards and glasses will be provided by the organisers, but the ingredients are down to you. When you arrive, head to their table outside Spar, check what is missing and contribute with a little something. There will be music and a great atmosphere. Feel free to join in.
10am - 5pm: Dog Lover's Meet-up at Dürer Kert
If you have a furry friend – with four legs...– and you would like to meet other dog lovers, this meet-up is for you. Head to Dürer Kert, sip on tasty craft beers, try grilled dishes, browse dog accessories and meet other fans of cute canines. Please bring along your dog’s vaccination record.
11am – : 36th Hungarian Press Photo Exhibition at the Capa Center
Saturday is the last day to see the annual Hungarian Press Photo Exhibition that presents the country’s finest works of photojournalism from the past year. The works on view are award-winning individual photos (news items) and series (reportage), taken in 2017 and submitted in a total of 14 categories.
7:30pm-9:15pm: Honvéd-Ferencváros at the Bozsik Stadion
Saturday night sees two giants of Hungarian football clash at Honvéd’s revered Bozsik Stadion in Kispest, where Ferenc Puskás grew up and learned his craft. Current champions Honvéd will be hosting 2018 challengers and city rivals Ferencváros, who need a win to maintain their title challenge. To reach the Bozsik Stadion, take tram 42 from Határ út to the terminus ten minutes away. The ticket office opens from 3pm, 1,300 forints to stand, 2,000 forints to sit and 3,000 forints for the best seats.

10am - 9pm: Pentecost at the Várkert Bazaar
Budapest's sprawling Várkert Bazár hosts a Folk Art Festival evoking the traditions and games related to Pentecost. Street food, a craft fair and workshops await, while local bands perform in the evening, filling the air with classical, pop, rock and world music. Entry is free.
11am - : Anna Kijanowska at the Liszt Museum
Polish-American pianist Anna Kijanowska plays at the Liszt Museum on Sunday morning, filling the grandiose halls with two Polish pieces of music and a sonata by Franz Liszt.
2pm - 5pm: Beer Week in Budapest at various venues
Starting on Sunday, Budapest dedicates a whole week to craft beer. This hop-fuelled festival brings together 16 countries, 45 breweries and 180 beers for you to sink as many suds as you wish. The main events, two unlimited tasting sessions and rowdy parties, take place on May 25th and 26th at Dürer Kert, but over all eight days you can sample ales, meet brewers and enjoy live music shows at the hottest craft-beer places across Budapest.
7pm - 11pm: Gone With the Wind at the Bem Cinema
Clark Gable's oft-quoted "Frankly, my dear...” will forever be one of the most famous movie moments of all time. On Sunday you can rewatch this true classic, an 1939 drama untangling the romance of spoiled Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler during the American Civil War. Original audio, Hungarian subtitles.
9pm – : Szimpla Jam at Szimpla Kert
On Sunday night, a group of music enthusiasts gathers at Budapest’s beloved Szimpla Kert, combining a myriad of genres while improvising music together. Professional amplifiers are provided, all you have to do is bring your instrument and a good mood to join the late-night jam session.Show off your self-written songs while vamping on tunes with other guitar heroes.
