A new major act has just been revealed for Sziget 2018. With the new announcement of Lana Del Rey coming to Sziget, this year’s star agenda for the Main Stage is complete. The “Summertime Sadness” hitmaker will bring her unique style of glamorous pop melancholia to revelers, performing her biggest hits, and songs from latest studio album “Lust for Life”, released in 2017.
Characterized by her dreamy lyricism, doomed romantic tone and ability to tap into historic pop culture, Del Rey has come a long way from her New York roots. Her homemade music videos for “Video Games” and “Blue Jeans” went viral thanks to their stylized cinematic qualities. This built up to breakthrough album “Born to Die”, for which she won a Brit Award. Her second album, “Paradise”, earned two Grammy nominations. The American singer’s most recent accomplishments include collaborations with The Weeknd, ASAP Rocky and Stevie Nicks for number one album “Lust for Life”.
Today, many more additions to the Sziget lineup were also unveiled, including psychedelic Swedish group Fever Ray, multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Børns, Dutch electronica master Don Diablo, and exciting New Zealand rockers Unknown Mortal Orchestra.
