As Christmas merriment fills our homes, Budapest’s streets are adorned with sparkling festive lights, creating magical scenes across the city. In his new series of images, Hungarian photographer Márk Mervai portrays the Hungarian capital in all its Yuled-up splendor. Pictures show downtown Advent backdropped by St. Stephen’s Basilica, the illuminated trees along Grand Boulevard, and a sparkling streetcar zooming past Parliament and the monumental Christmas tree outside it glowing with a myriad colorful lights.
