The Budapest Zoo’s biggest stars and prettiest plants will be in the limelight on the occasion of World Animal Day – held on the day of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals – at the main Magyar menagerie between October 4th and 8th. Exciting presentations, toy-making workshops, birdwatching, dog training, a playground, pelican and stingray feedings, shows starring elephants, seals and other animals, and many other fun-filled programs await families during these five days. Furthermore, on October 7th and 8th, visitors can admire beautiful bonsai trees of various sizes and ages. At the Magic Mountain (Varázshegy), kids and adults alike can feed stingrays, watch a 3D screening titled Animals in Action, and discover other cool and colorful programs amid the sylvan scenery of the Budapest Zoo, found in the city’s picturesque City Park.

During October 4-8, the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden awaits animal lovers with all kinds of cool programs and cute critter friends to celebrate the occasion of World Animal Day. Pelican and stingray feedings, shows starring elephants and other amazing animals, birdwatching, creative craft activities, a kids’ corner, a powerful performance by sweet seals, a bonsai exhibition, and other exciting events entertain visitors here between Wednesday and Sunday. Best of all, during these five fun-filled days, entry is free for children under the age of 14.
