This weekend, one of the world’s greatest motor-sports events draws thousands of global fans – the annual Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix, held at the Hungaroring racecourse just outside of Budapest. Held annually since 1986, this rip-roaring race challenges the planet’s fastest drivers to zoom around the track in hopes of earning a shower of champagne at the finish line. We present an overview of this adrenaline-fueled extravaganza spanning July 22-24, along with handy tips for getting to Hungaroring, and suggest some downtown hangouts for watching the race live if you can’t visit the track.
