Bubba''s water grill has been posting photos of their fish dishes on facebook for weeks now, and a few days ago it opened its doors to the city. So, guests are now welcome to try their delicious fish meals at the south railway station (Déli)! Of course, there are other tasty treats to choose from too, all fine in quality, served in paper boxes with surfboards functioning as tables.

Bubba's staff visited London , the home of fish and chips in order to perfect their techniques, and came back home with a whole lot of experience, some of which they didn't even know they needed before. We got to know this while drinking bio grape- and ginger syrup, and waiting for the few dishes that we intended to taste later on.
The progress of the food's making could be easily felt, or rather, smelt. The delicious fragrances make the marine experience a whole as we wait surrounded by sea-themed wall paintings. However we're a bit concerned about the placement of the restaurant - Bubba is located at a part of Keregő, near Déli, where traffic is scarce. So the main question is whether the place's newfound reputation is enough to lure new guests in.Food In A Box
We can get Fish and Chips in sizes S (790 forint), L (1100 forint), and Bubba Size (gigantic - 1700 forint), and with cod, catfish, perch, or even king prawn. In each case, the fish gets fried in beer batter before put in a paper box, along with a chosen dressing (from which there are ten to choose from). But Fish and Chips isn't the only dish that arrives in boxes to our table:
the Grilled Salmon Fillets (1390 forint) with Nice Salad (650 forint) and the Bubba fish burger (1390 forint) get the same serving method. Soups are between 490 and 1100 forint.
The flavors are mouthwatering; it's the different kinds of oils (mostly palm and sesame seed) that give the food its piquancy. We can also blame the side dishes and specially seasoned dressings for the overall impact, which is exceptional. While most of the fish comes from the market in Budaörs and France and Norway, all the vegetables come from hungarian vegetable gardens. The portions are satisfying in size, so there's no need to worry about getting hungry half an hour after lunch.Fisherman's Friend
Bubba's Grill is a great example of fast food restaurants that don't neglect quality. The location of the place has some pleasant surprises in store as well, as the atmosphere is perfect for the consumption of a relaxing meal.
We can also meet Bubba, the friendly fisherman (as seen on the walls) and his helpful colleagues (as seen behind the counter). Even if we don't spend much time in this familiar atmosphere, a quick lunch in Bubba's Grill is just enough to fill us up for the day.
