This is the most important airport of Hungary and you are able to get anywhere from Africa to Asia, from the Middle-East to North-America. The airport is situated about 16 kilometers south-east from the city center and it can be approached on the airport expressway via Üllői Street.

Liszt Ferenc International Airport is divided into three terminals. Terminal 1 serves airlines having cheap flights inside Europe. Terminal 2A is for European flights inside the Schengen borders while Terminal 2B serves flights solely outside the Schengen area. A new passenger terminal called Sky Court was brought into use in 2011, which is right next to 2A and 2B and makes travelling more comfortable and easier. It is important to mention that terminal 1 is about 10 kilometers far away from 2A and 2B that are right next to each other. Between the terminals, there are transfers that are not free of charge. In case of a Budapest change, it is advisable to double-check the terminals and time available for transfers.
