Held in the elegant glass-roofed courtyard of downtown’s historic Corinthia Hotel Budapest, Sunday brunches at Brasserie and Atrium almost always have an imaginative theme based on the creative ideas of Executive Chef Peter Bolyki. On this Easter Sunday the buffet includes holiday favorites like ham and lamb, while a giant bunny entertains tykes. Within Budapest’s city-center Kempinski Hotel Corvinus, the elegantly urban welcomes diners on both Easter Sunday and Monday for the special Family Table brunch with a selection of artisanal hams and a children’s Easter-egg hunt; the Family Table offer continues every Sunday through springtime. The most venerable restaurant of Hungary’s capital serves splendid brunches every Sunday, but on this Easter the Gundel management is also opening their glamorous Queen Elisabeth Ballroom to welcome as many guests as possible to enjoy the sumptuous smorgasbord. Diners can indulge their every temptation by taking repeat trips to the buffet, with a selection including roasted rosemary-seasoned leg of lamb with mint gravy, braised rabbit thighs with vegetable-cream sauce and homemade dumplings, and Mangalica pork knuckles with paprika-potato foam.

Kollázs
The gleaming Art Nouveau grandeur of Budapest’s world-famous surrounds diners at this lively brasserie with views of the Chain Bridge and Castle Hill. On this Sunday, Kollázs hosts a top-caliber Easter Brunch enlivened by egg painting and hunting, while an Easter bunny makes everyone feel warm and fuzzy. Afterwards, brunches continue at Kollázs every Sunday throughout the spring season for 8,800 forints (plus a 12% service charge) – a very reasonable price, considering the setting and the cuisine’s impeccable quality.
