The popular global guidebook company Lonely Planet released a new video about Hungary’s capital that provides brief highlights of our city’s varied attractions, along with some helpful tips (and only a small number of mistakes). “Introducing Budapest” is a fine preview to any visit to the Magyar metropolis, including info about the costs of staying here and how to use public transportation – and it even includes a (probably inadvertent) reference to We Love Budapest!

Posted on the Lonely Planet YouTube channel yesterday, “Introducing Budapest” is a video guide to visiting Hungary’s capital, which provides a brief overview about the city while showing a montage of striking city snapshots, before launching into a “Top 5” list of must-see attractions (during which the video shows footage of St. Stephen’s Basilica while presenting the Royal Palace of Buda Castle, but we can overlook that…). Later the video offers tips about when to visit Budapest, and how much a trip here costs (accompanied by a photo of an outdated 5,000-forint bill), before explaining “why we love Budapest” – coincidence? Watch the video below to decide for yourself!
