Since the beginning of September, the city’s public riverboats once again ply the Danube to Budapest’s southernmost stop at Kopaszi Dam, a perfect day-trip destination for couples, families, and athletes.

As a new development of Danuberiverboat services by Budapest’s BKK transit company, the new south-Buda stop is freshly added to the route of ferryboat lines D11 and D12, as the BudaPart - Kopaszi Dam pier has been returned to service since September 2nd. The popular Kopaszi Dam recreation area – featuring well-maintained waterfront benches and lawns for pleasant picnics, along with several nice restaurants and panoramic river views – is now accessible by scheduled boat services every day between 8:15am and 8:15pm.

The autumn schedules of boat lines D11 and D12 have been altered slightly due to the Kopaszi Dam pier being added to the timetables – for details, check out BKK’s official website.
