After a little more than two years of slowly growing their home-delivery food service, the guys at Attaboy have finally opened their own bistro. Now we can eat BLT burgers after work with our colleagues, or tasty hot dogs with friends at the weekend. Best yet they offer a 30% opening discount until the end of January, so head over to the lads at Attaboy soon!

Home-delivery is a sensitive issue (especially when it comes to burgers), but Attaboy has slowly developed into something more since starting as delivery-only a few years ago.

The owners opened a delivery-service where the food is made from high quality ingredients.

They were also careful to only deliver nearby homes and businesses to ensure the freshness of the food. Thanks to its success and the immensely positive feedback, they started thinking of establishing a fix point, a real Attaboy bistro. And now we can find the manifestation of this dream in Síp Street, under the name Attaboy Streat Food Bistro. It's cool to know the Attaboys are a bit of fun too because "Streat” is not a typo - just a pun. And the boys celebrated this transition with this cool video:

The interior is a bit industrial, but the wooden furniture gives the place a cozy touch and functional design. The bottom floor’s long tables are perfect for sharing a meal with others, while the gallery’s smaller tables are more intimate.

The boys plan a “Gallery on the Gallery” so young artists will be able to exhibit their work at the upper section of Attaboy. We can expect kind service and can feel free to ask for a bit of help – after all, the extensive selection of burgers and hot dogs can make choosing rather hard.

Although the daily soup (290 Ft) is more than favorable, we tried a hot dog in the first round – this genre is a bit neglected by our city, even though it is a classic, mobile and filling street food. We tasted the mushroom version, dubbed Shrooms, in a delicious baguette and with a tasty Frankfurt sausage. We ordered some onion rings (420 Ft) as a side dish, which became one of our favourites. It has nothing to do with its poor frozen counterparts; it is crispy, fresh, exciting, especially if we eat some fresh coleslaw (420 Ft) with it.

If you want to eat a hamburger, first decide beef or grilled chicken. We went with beef, and so tested a classic cheeseburger (1290 Ft or 1550 Ft with a side) and the house specialty, the Hurt Locker (1490 Ft or 1750 Ft with a side). Attaboy gets their fresh, tasty buns from a bakery: they are not too sweet and not too salty, just right. They put a weight on the meat when cooking, so the result is a thinner patty, cooked to well-done by default. However, upon request, we can eat them medium-rare, as well. The flavours complement each other well in both cases.

Since Attaboy is a burger place, we visited with a carnivorous team, but we were quite surprised to see (and taste) the Meatless Burger (1390 Ft or 1650 Ft with a side). It includes goat cheese, layered with eggplant, zucchini, bell pepper, garlic and ricotta, and the result is a gorgeous, filling veggie burger. We have to note here that we did not miss out on the homemade fries (420 Ft) either, which is seasoned perfectly.

Try their food now because until the end of January they offer all burgers and hot dogs, eaten on the spot, with a 30% opening discount.
