We found a small café in Pest's District XIII where the focus is on full-bodied fruit juices instead of lattes and cappuccinos. The place has only been open for a few weeks, so naturally it's a bit incomplete as of now, but it is worth visit ing My Little Corner for vitamin bombs and breakfasts. Soon they will make space for even more goodies.

Recently we discovered a pleasant surprise while walking in the concrete jungle near Lehel Square in the form of a Thai restaurant, and now just a short stroll away we found a juice and breakfast place operating as a café among the cheap pubs and nail salons dotted amid residential buildings.

The name of My Little Corner not only resembles My Little Melbourne, but also speaks for itself: the café is on the corner, and is indeed rather tiny in size. However, this does not affect the fact that it is worth visiting this place for some fresh homemade juice.

They work with seasonal fruits; at the time of our visit, the base range consisted of carrot, grapefruit, and orange juices, which we can ask for by themselves, or as part of various combinations. The extra options present mixes like carrot-apple-orange, blueberry-apple, apple-cucumber, or carrot-tomato. All ingredients are either directly from farmers or from the nearby Lehel Market.

If we are craving something really fancy and juicy, we can choose combinations like cantaloupe-honey-milk, orange-honey-yogurt, or pineapple-orange and ginger-mint . Whatever we end up with, the price is 220 HUF/dl in every case, which is quite affordable, considering that 3-4 deciliters can be enough to make us full.

These juices are made either with a press machine or a blender, depending on what consistency they want for the result.

For now, we can buy basic breakfasts to accompany the juices, like croissant sandwiches, bagels, fresh pastries, brownies, and naturally, fruits. Similarly to the drinks, the food menu will grow in the following weeks as well, since they will soon have an oven in which they will be able to prepare almost anything.

We should keep in mind that the café opened only a few weeks ago, so there might be some technical difficulties, and the selection is a bit limited. However, the juice concept is a very good idea, and the future breakfast offers sound promising as well. One thing is sure: such a place is an absolute necessity in this area.
