There is a whole lot of reasons why we can’t help falling in love with Budapest – and RUNtotta is the newest addition to the ever-growing list. Located in Frankel Leó street, this tiny “checkpoint” is not only a good choice if you are in the middle of  a marathon, but also ideal for lazy mornings or long, cappuccino-fueled talks with friends. It’s not a problem to enter with your running shoes on but be warned that it's a real jogging-killer – even Forrest Gump would change his mind and just order a  cheese cake.

Eggscelent! It isn’t a secret, that RUNtotta aims to popularize running: the walls are decorated with pictures taken at marathons and other races, there's a blackboard enlisting the upcoming running-related events, but the most important items are located near the coffe machines.Usian Bolt won three gold medals in Beijing after eating approximately 1000 Chicken McNuggets – but he's a freak of nature, and it looks like he's not a sportsman's or -woman's role model regarding dietary habits. Maybe if he were a regular at RUNtotta, and ate otherwordly omelettes everyday, he'd be competing with supersonic jets instead of his own ridiculous records.

Anyway, if you're aware of the positive side effects of meals made of eggs, you won’t be surprised, most of the regulars are sportsmen. But luckily, the place isn’t only for egg-fanatic athletes but also for those who believe that a healthy dish should also be tasty.Omelette Heaven

The omelette-repertoire is as wide as a sprinter's shoulder:
classic, vegetarian (for example with mushroom and cucumber), the stuffed-into-a-sandwich variety, and our favourite, the energy bomb known as the rural version, which comes

with sausages, onion, and ham. In case you're overfed and fed up with eggs, a different main dish-salad combo available every day will come in handy, just like like risotto, which, for reasons unknown, is a big favorite among football fanatics.

As for desserts, cheese cake with Nutella or walnut is a must-try, while your daily dose of caffeine comes in the form of Hungarian-roasted Qawa coffees with rice-, avena - or lactose free milk.Inspiring friendsRUNtotta also functions as a club house where you can meet famous athletes, listen to other people’s inspiring stories or participate in special events. Don’t be surprised if you hop in for a quick dinner and end up staying until closing time talking with a new friend.

Kids and caveman cuisineSometimes there are as many children hanging around in RUNtotta as many running shoes you can find at the starting line of a marathon. Vising RUNtotta is a family program, especially if one of your loved ones is into caveman cuisine (aka the paleo diet), which is recurring guest on the menu on Fridays.
