District XI or Újbuda is the most populous district in Budapest. Its major artery, Bartók Béla út, rebranded as Bartók Béla Boulevard, carries the main bus and tram routes, and metro line 4, which then run on to the hub of Móricz Zsigmond körtér. Bartók Béla is also lined with cafés and galleries. You can sip on an espresso in book-lined Kelet, in the funky Szatyor Bar and Gallery, or in Gdansk, the local port of Polish culture. Other recommended sites in District XI are the A38 Ship live-music venue, historic spa the Gellért and the recreational Feneketlen tó, the Bottomless Lake.
