NESSI GOMES ON THE A38 SHIP
Drawing on the emotional depth of traditional Portuguese fado, British alternative music and world-music-tinged psychedelic influences, Nessi Gomes creates songs that feel both deeply personal and quietly meditative. Her music often touches on intimate - sometimes taboo - themes, yet her performances radiate calm, honesty and a rare sense of vulnerability. On 23 January, she brings this unique atmosphere to the stage of the A38 Ship, with Szeder opening the evening - a distinctive voice of the Hungarian indie folk-pop scene since 2014.
