With longer days and a hint of spring in the air, Budapest is slowly waking up again, and this weekend brings a mix of lively events and easy-going programmes. From vintage markets and community gatherings to concerts and outdoor plans, here’s a selection of things to do between 20 and 22 March.

Friday, 20 March

BARTÓK BÉLA BOULEVARD NIGHT OUT

If you feel like keeping things simple, Bartók Béla út is always a good starting point for a Friday evening. With its mix of wine bars, cafés, and restaurants, the neighbourhood offers a relaxed but lively atmosphere, whether you're in the mood for a casual dinner or a longer night out. 

BOARD GAME NIGHT AT HEDONIST LOUNGE

Every Friday, Hedonist Lounge invites guests to step into the world of modern board games for a relaxed social evening.  The event starts from 6pm at the a&o hostel on Csengery utca, and while entry is free, seating is limited.

TRILLION LIVE AT DÜRER KERT

On 20 March, Trillion takes the stage at Dürer Kert's Small Hall, joined by guest band Stone Sober. Tickets are available in advance and on the day of the concert, offering a solid Friday night option for fans of the local rock scene.

Saturday, 21 March

VINTAGE MARKET AT MADÁCH ZSIBI

Flea market focused on vintage, streetwear, and Y2K pieces arrives at Madách Square, offering a great opportunity to browse second-hand treasures and unique wardrobe finds. Visitors can explore a selection of vintage clothing and retro-inspired styles while enjoying the lively atmosphere of one of downtown Budapest's popular meeting spots.

HELLO PIAC

On 21 March, HELLO PIAC returns to Erzsébet tér with a free-entry design fair showcasing Hungarian makers. Expect fashion, jewellery, home décor, natural cosmetics and conscious, zero-waste products - all straight from the creators. Dog-friendly and community-focused, it's a lively Saturday stop for anyone who prefers shopping local.

MVM BUDAPEST COMIC CON

On 21 and 22 March, MVM Budapest Comic Con returns for its fifth edition, bringing together fans of geek culture for a weekend full of film, comics, and cosplay. Visitors can expect appearances by movie stars, talented cosplayers, and comic book artists, along with a vibrant atmosphere celebrating all things pop culture.

Sunday, 22 March

REMARKET MARKET AND VINTAGE FAIR AT HENGERMALOM

The next ReMarket event will take place in the courtyard of Hengermalom, organised by Industrial Lamp Budapest. At the community flea market on22 March, visitors can browse through a curated selection of vintage, retro, mid-century, antique, and folk items. The offerings include unique lamps, small furniture pieces, and jewellery, as well as vintage and old-school clothing for treasure hunters.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE 2026

Budapest celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with a lively parade and full-day programme on  22 March  at Szabadság tér. Visitors can enjoy Irish music and dance performances, traditional folk sessions, and even a football demonstration before joining the parade through the city centre.

POPPY LIVE AT BARBA NEGRA

Poppy finally arrives in Budapest on 22 March with her Constantly Nowhere tour, bringing her unpredictable, high-energy live show to Barba Negra.
