DISCOVER LOCAL DESIGNERS IN THE MARGIT QUARTER
From 9 to 11 October, the Margit Quarter invites you to explore both its iconic and newly opened venues on a special designer walk. Local designers and creators will take visitors behind the scenes, sharing insights into sustainable fashion and design, from innovative materials to the techniques they use.
KOREAN FILM FESTIVAL
From 10 to 17 October, Korean cinema takes centre stage once again in Budapest. The Corvin Cinema will screen 29 South Korean films in total — from award-winning works and audience favourites to brand-new premieres. All screenings include Hungarian and English subtitles, and the programme also features Q&As and special accompanying events.
OBUDA AUTUMN PICNIC AT BUDAPEST GARDEN
Celebrate the golden season at Budapest Garden’s Óbuda Autumn Picnic, taking place between 10–12 October. This free, family-friendly weekend event offers everything from a vintage market and handcrafted goods to a farmers’ fair and creative children’s activities. Open until late, with music, food, and a cosy autumn atmosphere — it’s the perfect place to spend a laid-back weekend in Óbuda.

40th SPAR BUDAPEST RUNNING MARATHON
The SPAR Budapest Marathon Festival returns on 11–12 October, inviting runners of all levels to race through the capital’s most iconic sights. Whether you're in for the full marathon, a 30 km challenge, or a fun relay with friends, this two-day event combines sport, sightseeing and unforgettable city vibes.
BUDARO DESIGNER FAIR ON THE TRANZIT BY FLOW TERRACE
On 11 October, the Budaro designer fair series moves to the covered terrace of Tranzit by Flow, bringing together emerging and well-known names from Hungary’s design scene. Visitors can browse ceramics, prints, clothing, and jewellery while sipping great coffee or trying some plant-based bites.

PONT FESTIVAL 2025
The PONT Festival brings UNESCO-listed traditions and cultural heritage to Budapest every year, setting up in the garden of the Hungarian National Museum. This year, on 11 October, the focus will be on the heritage and traditions of Serbia. During the day, visitors can enjoy family-friendly activities and workshops, while the evening will feature folk dance and live concerts. Music will be provided by the Džumbus Trio with Básits Branka, László Halász and his ensemble, and Bojan Krstić with his band. Entry to the event is free.

PICI PIAC 10th BIRTHDAY
Celebrate smiles, friendships, and a touch of magic at the 10th birthday of this much-loved fair on October 12. Held at the Villányi úti Conference Centre (1114 Budapest, Villányi út 11–13.), the all-day event runs from 9 am to 4 pm and promises a vibrant marketplace atmosphere with more than 80 local exhibitors.
SUNSET ECSTATIC & YOGA DANCE AT THE PRIVATE ROOFTOP
You can discover the joy of free movement at a special evening event on Sunday, 12 October, at The Private Rooftop. The experience begins with a light, flowing yoga session to ease you into the mood for ecstatic dance. A live DJ set and conga accompaniment will guide the rhythm, helping you move instinctively and unwind completely. No yoga outfit or mat is needed – just comfortable clothes and an open mind for free dance. The event takes place indoors, but if the weather allows, one of the city's most scenic rooftop terraces will also open for the occasion.

BUDAPEST DESIGN WEEK
From 8 to 19 October,Budapest Design Week returns with more than 100 venues across the capital and several other Hungarian cities. The festival showcases the rich diversity of Hungarian design through exhibitions, workshops, open studios, and exciting programmes. The aim of the event series is to highlight creativity and innovation while giving visitors a chance to discover the many faces of contemporary design.
