2Spaghi

One of the first pasta makers in town – you should be guaranteed good quality here. Among their dishes made from fresh pasta, you’ll find pretty much everything you’d look for in a decent Italian outlet, from guanciale pork and cream-free carbonara to a variety of ravioli to a homemade pestos. If you’re really into your Italian cuisine, you can also choose from three different Italian sauces and ten types of fresh raw organic noodles, and make them fresh at home. You can pick up your order if you’re passing the Gozsdu udvar, and you can also order home delivery through Wolt.

Arancini Benedetti

Arancini Benedetti, specialising in hot fried Sicilian rice balls, has also introduced a small innovation to the kitchen – in addition to various vegan and meaty arancini, they offer Italian pasta (traditional and gluten-free), as well as seasonal cream soups. You can find them on Wolt, but if you’re arranging something more extravagant, you can order larger quantities directly from them.

Da Mario

Da Mario’s greatness lies in its simplicity – instead of overcomplicated or new-wave dishes, they offer straightforward authentic delicacies made with impeccable Italian ingredients. In addition to pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven, you will also find great Italian pastas and main courses in their selection. The delivery options are 20% cheaper than the regular prices – you can pick your order up from the restaurant, or have them delivered within Budapest.

Jamie

The Naked Chef may have closed down many of his operations in the UK but Jamie Oliver’s Italian is still going strong up in Budapest’s Castle District. Comfort food based on traditional recipes has proved a big hit with the Hungarian public – if you happen to crave JOI’s superfood salad, spicy salami pizza or supreme chicken breast, Wolt will whisk them over to your kitchen table for dinner time.

Lashka Tésztaműhely

At the Lashka Pasta Workshop, there is not only Italian, but also Hungarian and Asian pastas – alongside their locally made, fresh pasta on the shop shelves. These can also be found at several markets, while their hot meals can be delivered in no time – as they promise on their Facebook page.

Olive di Fragola

This Italian restaurant in District XII evolved from an ice-cream franchise, and is now offering fine pizzas, creamy risottos, steaming hot pastas, salads and appetisers, evoking the atmosphere of a true, homely family restaurant in Italy. Wolt is the best way to get their dishes delivered to your door, who also distribute the offerings of youngest sibling, Dolce Farina Niente, gluten-free pizzas and exciting, creative salads.

PUPI Ristorante Budapest

The Budapest branch of PUPI Ristorante in Štúrovo, just over the border in Slovakia, opened this summer. This is not traditional, chequered-tablecloth Italian cuisine, but rather modern take on it, still mainly involving pizza and pasta. The pasta range goes way beyond bolognese and carbonara. You can find them on Wolt and NetPincér.

8/10

Il Terzo Cerchio

Reminiscent of a family-run trattoria in Tuscany, Il Terzo Cerchio is most adored for its rustic, traditional cuisine. The menu features both gluten-free and regular pizzas, a variety of pasta dishes, as well as common and less common Italian dishes with meat or fish. You can directly phone them to ask for delivery to the inner-city districts, and you can find them on Wolt and Netpincér, too.

9/10

Trattoria Pomo D'Oro

The Pomo D’Oro has always been revered for not only providing guests with great food, but with an outstanding experience as well – this hasn’t changed, despite the restrictions. You can order some of their most popular dishes, all sorts of pizzas, pastas, risottos, mains and desserts, through Wolt. They also came up with their own paid-for delivery system, delivering within a range of 15 kilometres. But that’s not all – if you want to celebrate an occasion in style, you can get one of their chefs to prepare the dish of your choice in your own kitchen. They also have an online cooking course available for anyone willing to experiment with Italian cuisine. For details, visit their Facebook page.

Vapiano

Homemade pasta dishes assembled as you wish, refreshing salads, creamy desserts and, last but not least, delicious pizzas fresh from the oven… all can be delivered to your doorstep.  They are available on Wolt, Bolt and NetPincér, too, with each of the four Vapiano restaurants offering both takeaway and delivery options. As always, your order will arrive in a neat red and white plastic box, which can be reused on multiple occasions. (x)
