Titanic Exhibition

A world-renowned traveling exhibition will be on view in Budapest between July 20-December 31 to display several original artifacts – including furniture, fine porcelain, clothes, and personal possessions – recovered from the final resting place of the ship touted as “unsinkable”, 2.5 miles beneath the surface of the Atlantic Ocean. When entering the exhibit, visitors are drawn back to 1912, receiving the boarding pass of an actual passenger, whose fate can later be discovered on a memory wall. The exhibition explains the dramatic and poignant story of the ship, its crew, and passengers who all embarked on the journey of a lifetime, only to be part of one of the greatest maritime disasters of all times. From the construction through life on board to the ill-fated strike of the iceberg, and stories about heroism and humanity, visitors can learn more about the true story of the Titanic, while also finding out more about its Hungarian relations.
