LÄRM

LÄRM is, without a doubt, the blackest chamber of electronic music in Budapest, hosting monthly party series run by dope local DJs (Drum Club or Lick The Click!, for example), and inviting true underground pioneers for special performances. Although the club isn't about trendy interior design or fancy cocktails, it can get crowded easily, because the maximum capacity is limited to 250 partygoers – so plan for an early arrival if you want to get in the door. And we’re sure that you want to, because the no-decibel-cap policy and the carefully curated lineups make this scene one of the city’s best. In terms of genres, anything can happen here, from pounding techno to classic UK rave.

Tesla Budapest (Closed)

A building behind the has transformed into a major party palace called Tesla. Located in the heart of Budapest’s vibrant party quarter, it stands out with its premium-quality Void sound system, tasty cocktails, eye-candy interior design, and a heated smoking area. Some of the most famous Hungarian disc jockeys spin their records here until dawn, and they never fail to deliver those mainstream electronic hits that get you on the dance floor every time. If you are interested in the lighter side of clubbing, this is your venue – especially on weekends.

Toldi

Toldi is a city-center cinema that is also a popular nighttime meeting place for urban figures, hipsters, electronic beasts, artists, and other proud weirdos, so it isn’t a surprise that there’s a lot going on here long after the screenings end. The hippest parties take place here, so if you want to know what goes on in Budapest’s electronic-music scene, cruise around the venue at midnight, when the hippest selectors spin the freshest tracks. Just like LÄRM, Toldi gets overcrowded easily, so plan to arrive early – believe us, it will be worth it.
