Laura Mózes is a fresh-faced designer from Hungary’s Lake Balaton region, and we can’t deny our heart: we love her brand. She designs and makes cool pillowcases that look good everywhere: at a picnic, on the sofa, or on the beach. Each of the cushions of Lamoppe was designed by Laura; she uses 21st-century digital techniques for the printing while every type of pillow is made in limited editions. While each cushion looks great individually, they're even better when arranged in a mix-and-match collection, as Laura designs them to tastefully complement each other. After spending a long time scrolling through the collections, we’ve voted for the black-and-white and for the multicolored ones as our favorites. The latest collection features vivid colors and geometrical motives inspired by the classic children’s toy, the kaleidoscope.

Pouches made of waterproof polyester and sacks with a charming design are both good for literally anything. If you care about your environment and would like to go garbage-free (or at least produce less of it) but haven’t found an alternative to throwaway plastic bags, try a Kivibag! Every Kivibag has a unique design, and there are 15 different versions to choose from – one of the motives, the fat kiwi bird, is where the brand got its name from, as it was the owners’ favorite. You can pack sandwiches or fruits in the smaller pouches, but the sacks can function as a clothing bag, with the material coming in handy if you have wet swimwear with you. Since all of the Kivibags are made of quality materials, they not only keep food fresh, but they are also durable and can go in the washing machine. What’s new about this summer’s collection is the bigger bags that can function as a picnic bag, but are also useful for daily shopping or hitting the beach – and they go well with streetwear.

The team of Eperfa (Nóra Nagy Anna, Emese Berán, Nóra Garbai, and Andrea Czikovszky-Götz) design wooden toys based on traditional playthings that everyone knows, taking inspiration from the regions they all love: the Buda Hills and the Lake Balaton region. The material that comes from the woods of Pilisi Parkerdő Zrt. is made into beautifully painted fish magnets, fishing equipment, and building blocks, introducing youngsters to the well-known buildings and hills of the Balaton Uplands – and while these things are mostly for younger generations, the fly-swatter that looks like a giant beech leaf or the egg-shaped petanque set is on our wish list, too. In the set, petanque balls are replaced with the eggs of seven birds that lay their eggs in the Buda Hills: the tawny owl, jay, starling, golden oriole, mavis, and collared flycatcher. (The design of the toys and the accessories took place as a part of the MOME+ incubation program.)
