Virivee

Many people hate stockings, but we believe that it is one of the most exciting accessories, that can spice up any outfit. Graphic artist turned stocking entrepreneur, Virág Vig, would definitely agree. The capital for her business was raised through crowd-funding, and her idea has been so successful that Virivee stockings are now worn in 40 countries around the world. The ombre stockings in all the colours of the rainbow are dyed using a unique technology, and the printed range is also swiftly expanding. The spring collection will include two, so far super-secret product groups. In our humble opinion, the triangle-print leggings are the coolest.

Pikkpack

A shoe that arrives in a flat envelope. A show that you have to assemble. Footwear that you can accessorise with lace matching your outfit. Pikkpack shoes don't just meet the worldwide DIY trends; they're currently one of the coolest Hungarian brands - a real success story based on attention to detail. The idea is simple, the design is fantastic, the realisation is great. The creator, Sári Gulyás wanted to design shoes with the best material efficiency possible, where the user actively participates in the final phase of the production. The shoe has to be laced together from one piece of leather, it is available in black and brown, and comes with 7 lace options, including one (attention cyclists!) with reflective stripes. These shoes have no lining and are practical to wear primarily in spring and summer.

Battila

Although this brand made its début only last autumn, these frames are already among our favourites. The handmade custom pieces by Battila had us hooked at their shape, but the materials used are also special and simply invite touching. You can choose from versions covered in a layer of delicate wood veneer, acetate or concrete. Just choose the model best fitting the shape of your face and is comfortable to wear. If you want something personalised, choose from the limited edition, numbered pieces. Best yet, all the glasses come in a gorgeous and practical wooden box. Another cool thing is that Battila likes to experiment and cooperate with other brands so the concrete series was, for example, developed with Ivanka Beton, and the Summer 2015 wood and plexiglas collection was designed by famous Hungarian designer Napsugár von Bittera.

No proper modesty, nor conservatism: nothing you'd expect from a traditional bow tie. Only stripes, polka dots, squares, and bold, striking and strong colours to be found on these tiny cloth accessories by one of the most peculiar Hungarian manufacturers. The irresistible bow ties by Badger and Fox definitely attract attention and are a must-have in men's wardrobes. Each and every piece is handcrafted of woollen cloth and handwoven in Scotland. The pieces were named after Scandinavian fairy tale heroes and evoke the picture of a bearded man in a plaited shirt. If the ready-made tie variations do not catch your fancy, don't despair, they also take custom orders. Gunnar, Jeppe and Olle, thanks for being there for the stylish men of Budapest!
