The roots of the scary pumpkin night reach back to ancient Celtic traditions, although by today Halloween has become a commercialized holiday, “consumed” by young people from the western part of the world. Rubber-Giraffe Award in Dürer Kert
This is one of the most important parties of the local Hardcore / punk scene. The “hard-working” bands finally get their precious awards for the best songs and videos. In exchange they promise to make this night unforgettable with great songs and lots of beer, which sounds like a fair deal. This event is organized on Halloween night every year, because this way people can rock out hard all night without being recognized and called to account on the next day. The air-guitar show and the costume competition will be important events during the night and both will be honored with valuable beer-awards. Wearing a costume is a must-do, however if you decide to come naked you can enter for free.

Where even the dead wake up - Hooters Halloween
If we have seen enough blood already on TV and don’t want to spend Halloween night among monsters then you should go to Hooters. The American bar, famous for its “big-hearted” staff, organizes its first Halloween night in Budapest. Nobody knows what to expect yet, but one thing is for sure: there is no waitress costume that will scare guys away who, however, are very likely to become zombies from seeing so much beauty in one place.

Trick or Treat! – Scary Chocolate Museum
We have never mentioned chocolate in one sentence with our fears, but this time it might change. The Chocolate Museum decided to organize a Halloween night again in its castle-like building that seems to be a perfect spot for a scary event like this. The organizers are not willing to share all the details yet, but they want everybody to bring a flashlight.

The reason to Freak out - Freak Circus at Trafiq
Halloween night is when people transform into freaks. But what about the places? One of them in Budapest will surely turn inside out and become a real freak show.
