The Maggio Musicale Fiorentino was established as a festival orchestra in 1928. Over the course of its near century of existence, this legendary ensemble has collaborated with an amazing series of great conductors, ranging from Wilhelm Furtwängler, Bruno Walter and Otto Klemperer to Seiji Ozawa, Carlos Kleiber and Riccardo Chailly. Mumbai-born Zubin Mehta headed the orchestra between 1985 and 2017, and here returns for a night of Brahms and Beethoven, specifically the Pastoral Sixth Symphony.
