The story follows Beatrix, the head of a dethroned aristocratic family, who aims to regain the old glory and power of the family, at any price. Her only chance to succeed is her daughter: Alexandra. She could become the wife of the crown prince of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy. Unfortunately, Albert seems indifferent toward Alexandra, but Beatrix knows well: the best way to call a male’s attention on a girl is by bringing in another male contender.
