The Night of a Thousand Lanterns was launched in 2011 to raise public awareness of the alarming problem of child disappearances. The event is organized in accordance with the International Missing Children’s Day (May 25th).  The aim is to provide assistance for finding lost children and call the attention of the public to the importance of preventive action. Thanks to the “milk carton” campaign, dozens of lost children have been found and it also contributed to beginning a discussion about this serious issue. The event will include activities for kids and families and concerts by popular Hungarian performers.
