The Red Grand Prix exhibition at yes! gallery revisits the 1986 Hungarian Grand Prix - the first Formula One race held behind the Iron Curtain - through the paintings of Péter Weiler and archive photographs by Károly Méhes. Looking beyond the race itself, the exhibition explores the historical and cultural significance of the Hungaroring, examining how a sporting event can come to define a political and cultural moment, shape collective memory and inspire the narratives that emerge around a turning point in history. The exhibition is open to visitors free of charge from 8 to 26 July.
