Mai Manó House is proud to present
Sylvia Plachy’s When Will It Be Tomorrow
, a first time exhibit of about
110 images
selected by her and by curator
Gabriella Csizek
- an overview of the photographer’s work from around the world that will travel around Europe from Budapest.
Open to the public: February 15 – April 19, 2015. On weekdays: 14.00 - 19.00, on weekends: 11.00 - 19.00.

The title echoes a sentence from the artist’s childhood, when before going to bed she would ask her mother:
When will be tomorrow?
The composition of the images suggests a visual poem. They form a whole based on associations, emotions and meanings; sometimes they are melancholy, extremely lonely, or even funny. Some of the photos have never appeared in print or been exhibited previously. There are two videos in the exhibition as well: an impressionistic fragment of Sylvia Plachy by her son Adrien Brody, Mom in the Wind, and also an award-winning short film, Self Portrait with Cows Going Home and Other Works by Sylvia Plachy, directed by Rebecca Dreyfus in 2007.
