If you are up for a proper Hungarian tradition, which also happens to be a goose-filled foodie event, Macesz Bistro will be a good place to be on November 11th. To commemorate one of Hungary's patron saints, St Martin of Tours, Hungarians indulge in gourmet goose dishes (and preferably some fine wine) every year.
For the occasion a dedicated menu has landed at this atmospheric Eastern European bistro, located in the Old Jewish district of Budapest. We wouldn't wait too long to check it out as delicacies such as goose paté with red onion jam, goose thigh with roasted cabbage and "Lúdláb" (goosefoot) cake are involved.
