A charity ball is taking place again this year to celebrate the Scottish national day of St Andrew's at the end of November. A gala dinner, dancing and live music are being staged at the Marriott Hotel, which overlooks the Chain Bridge, built by Scot Adam Clark. Currently closed for long-term renovation, this iconic landmark is usually lit up in the blue of the Scottish flag every 30 November, an event also regularly organised by the Budapest-based St Andrew's Association. Saturday's festivities involve a real Scottish Ceilidh band, a midnight feast and lashings of whisky. Slàinte mhath!
