My Land by internationally renowned contemporary circus company Recirquel premièred in 2018 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, winning it its first international award. This show directed by Bence Vági focuses on the roots of humanity and the eternal connection between a person and their homeland, depicting it as a space filled with illusions. The art form used is cirque danse, a new form of performance art – and this is also Recirquel's first piece to feature only guest artists from outside Hungary. Vági invited seven Ukrainian acrobats, each of them outstanding exponents of their particular circus skills. They explore their own personal life stories – tradition, freedom, love – to create the production.
