The New Year’s Eve festival of
PRLMNT
will kick off with a performance by
Carbovaris
. The Budapest-based “carbon ravens” took wing in 2009, when the four guys, inspired by the indie wave of the new millennium, started Carbovaris. Their first album came out not too long after that, and the video for their song Sunrise was the first one to bring them major success. They play gig after gig, and this year they received an exceptional amount of attention, following their participation in the talent show Nagy-szín-pad, together with the 15 current best bands, among them Carbovaris and Ivan & the Parazol.
Ivan & the Parazol
will be the main performers of the night. Returning from their tour in the Netherlands, they will celebrate New Year’s Eve at PRLMNT. Founded at the beginning of 2010, Ivan & The Parazol are a five-member rock ‘n’ roll band.
Customized for the 21st century
, the group’s beat music is informed by the new wave trends of the ‘60s and ‘70s. Since their first hit "Take My Hand" came out, they have completed a tour in London and three in America, they’ve won an MTV EMA Award, and they have produced the anthem of this year’s Sziget Festival, “Together” from their second record (“Mode Bizarre”), released in March.

After the concerts
Monkz
will make a comeback especially for this occasion, also bringing Adam Hand with them. Launched in 2002, Monkz has produced music played by Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong, Eric Morillo, Deep Dish, Satoshi Tomiie, Dave Seaman, Stewe Lawler, Paul Jackson, Justin Garret, Lee Burridge and Wally Lopez (with whom they have also played several times at the Pacha parties) all over the world.

Monkz will be followed by HiFly residents Palmfood, Sobek, James Grow and Yvel Tristan, who are sure to bring extra sets for this special day.
