One of the most important merits of the annual Mangalica Festival in Budapest is generating a new fair trade movement: Visitors here can meet breeders and farmers from all around the country, and thus buy products straight from the producers, without having to include supermarkets or other big businesses. Fakes cannot be sold here, product quality is supervised and guaranteed by the Hungarian National Association of Mangalica Breeders.
Besides the pork delicacies, other Hungarian products, concerts, children’s activities, wines and pálinkas and a traditional cooking contest await guests.
