Jeff Mills: Planets

Star DJ Jeff Mills brings a genuine and spectacular musical curiosity, with its own underlying philosophical perspective, to the Margaret Island Open-Air Theatre on July 13th.

Mills have been collaborating with symphony orchestras for more than a decade, creating grand tableaux that blend classical music and electronica. In July he brings his latest show, Planets, to Budapest, accompanied by the Danubia Orchestra of Óbuda. His science-fiction musical piece is inspired by the nine planets of the solar system and the self-knowledge and perspective you gain by contemplating the universe. The unique performance masterfully evokes a feeling of endlessness by presenting a wide range of emotions, and combines physical and mental landscapes by smoothly blending two seemingly distinct musical genres.
