Soloist and composer
Gábor Gadó
first met the members of the
Classicus Ensemble
, which enlists some of today’s best young Hungarian performers of classical music, when they invited him to one of their concerts. Gadó remembers the occasion as a time of good-spirited work, which resulted in
“a great concert, and it is my hope we will inspire each other again now at the Budapest Spring Festival.”
His other formation comprises jazz musicians. Australian drummer
Will Guthrie
is one of the most sought-after artists in the European jazz scene. French double bassist
Sébastien Boisseau
has already visited Hungary on several occasions, as a member of different international projects.

“For me, the formula of music is theos-mathesis-ludus (divine, mathematical, playful), a game in the sense of homo ludens, or, playing man. It is also the focussed moment where already everything is One.”
