The Festival of Chariots is a traditional festival, originating in the ancient city of Puri in India. Today it is held in many cities around the world, like New York, London, or Rome. It celebrates an invitation sent to the Lord of the Universe, Jagannatha to enter our hearts. The procession in Budapest will start at Vörösmarty tér at 10 am and is expected to arrive at Városliget at about 1 pm, where diverse events will be held. You can enjoy Indian music and dance, a colourful Indian bazaar, yoga presentations (hatha yoga, ashtanga yoga, acro-yoga), lectures on self-sustenance and self-assessment; and sample delicious vegetarian and vegan food at the stalls.
