Every Saturday, a farmers’ market occupies Czakó Garden in Buda’s Tabán area from 8am to 2pm. Producers bring their homegrown and homemade goods: fruit, vegetables, cheeses, meat, flowers, seeds and wild mushrooms, among other varieties. This week’s market will feature freshly made pork products, a nod to the annual Hungarian tradition of pig slaughtering. During the market, the chef at Czakó Kert prepares breakfast and lunch for shoppers, concocted from ingredients sold at the stalls.
