The Cinemira International Children’s Film Festival, taking place at the Akvárium Klub on 24-25 October, is dedicated to youngsters from four to 14, and their families. The hourly screening blocks consist of live action, animated and documentary short films. During the event, several classic Hungarian children’s feature films will return to the screen in digitally restored versions. The panorama section presents the most prestigious international kids’ films, while the focus section highlights films from other countries in the V4 Visegrad Group, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia.

In 2020, Cinemira will launch the first Children’s film Pitch Forum, where Hungarian filmmakers can introduce their latest children’s television and film projects to the professional jury, television buyers and film producers. The winning projects are granted funding for development. The festival also offers various interactive events: the whole family can participate in movie making, animation, casting, movie make-up and stunt workshops.
