Contemporary genius of the double bass, Avishai Cohen was behind one of the most acclaimed jazz albums of the 21st century, Gently Disturbed. The Israeli-born musician has enchanted the crowd at Müpa before and now plays with pianist Elchin Shirinov, responsible for the Hungarian touches on Cohen's studio album, and drummer Roni Kaspi, a young Israeli talent. Both have been touring with Cohen for a year. Their interplay conveys deep emotions, and you'll be able to hear a few favourite numbers plus snatches from the bassist’s 2021 album, two roses, created with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
