Hungary’s most prestigious sacral event series, the Ars Sacra Festival is being held between 14 and 22 September. Visitors are welcomed at almost 400 locations within and across the Hungarian border, with free admission. The festival involves a series of cultural events within the framework of European Heritage Days. Attractions involve all forms of the arts, with top-level performers, young authors and artists, concerts and films.
The Tabán Art Cinema is supporting the event by featuring a series of 42 films between 15 and 22 September. Free screenings run from 4pm to 8pm.
Also as part of Ars Sacra, many religious buildings will be accessible to all on the Day of Open Churches, on 14 September.
