Gay stormtroopers, verbatim theater, conscious sex, animated films and performances: the
22. Budapest Pride Festival
welcomes all with 53 programs held at 28 different venues in
Budapest,

The festival begins with its traditional
opening ceremony
on June 30, held in
Tesla,
with speeches from numerous Hungarian activists, including Kriszta Székely, Lajos Nagy Parti, Blanka Vay, Alex Martis Hegedűs, Szilvia Nagy, and Eszter Bánfalvi. Musical performances will be held by Gonzo Henri, the frontman of Fran Palermo, emerging talent Noémi Barkóczi, llll, Infragandhi, and Italian pop star Alex Palmieri.




Every year, the Pride March is preceded by a
10-day long cultural festival
featuring workshops, performances, concerts, film screenings, lectures, and a 5k run:

  • 3rd and 4th July, Monday and Tuesday / International Rainbow Culture Conference

  • 4th July, Tuesday / Introduction to feminism and LGBTQ; PanoDrama

  • 5th July, Wednesday / Open Mic

  • 7th July, Friday / Raising My Queer Self; Women’s Pride

  • 8th July, Saturday / Budapest Pride March; Rainbow Party a.k.a. official Pride Closing Party

  • 9th July, Sunday / Labrisz Picnic
