Between August 29th and September 3rd, the annual Budapest Short International Film Festival provides a showcase for young aspiring artists of the short-film world to prove their talent in the international scene. A selection of mini movies – 17 animation, 9 experimental, 49 fiction films, and 17 Hungarian short films – are screened in their original language and with English subtitles at various venues during the festival. Furthermore, the organizers annually invite filmmakers and important figures of the Eastern and Central European audiovisual sector to offer these communities a platform to meet and flourish professionally together.
