This year we can finally skate again at one of the city’s largest venues, complete with great food, drinks and music. Budapest Park’s KoriPark is officially open.
With festive lights, winter decorations and a lively atmosphere, the rink is guaranteed to brighten even the greyest winter days. Whether you’re coming with your partner, a group of friends or the whole family, the magical ice world pulls you right in — and even if you’re not much of a skater, there’s plenty to enjoy on the sidelines too.

More than 2,200 square metres of top-quality ice and plenty of extras
This year the skating area is larger than ever, with top-quality ice thanks to regular maintenance. And there’s no chance of getting bored: you can warm up in the hütte, try UV ping-pong, or explore the cosy installations perfect for festive selfies. The old Eplény ski lift chairs paired with disco balls look just as great in photos as Santa’s little room.

We also tried the UV ping-pong, which can be used in half-hour slots per team. There’s no need to book in advance — you can jump in whenever there’s an available table.

A various of bands will provide musical background throughout the season. Expect DJs hosting ice discos, or skating to house beats later in the month. You can find the full programme here.

Hütte delights from pizza and churros to alcoholic and alcohol-free cocktails
A new addition this year is Moto pizza, baked fresh in mobile ovens, and you can also tuck into churros or doughnuts while you’re here.

As for drinks, you can warm up with hot tea, choose from a wide selection of alcohol-free winter specials, or toast with a hot or cold ginger shot. There are extra alcoholic cocktails too, along with punch (also available alcohol-free), Jagatee — a mix of tea, mulled wine and rum — and even a coffee–tequila hot chocolate.

And if you’re in the mood to treat yourself to a fun winter extra, the shop sells unique hockey jerseys, Budapest Park gloves and even Christmas-themed rubber ducks.

Family event or corporate party?
Finding the perfect spot for a winter birthday isn’t always easy, but a party on the ice is guaranteed to be memorable. Budapest Park also offers a skybox for friendly get-togethers, team-building sessions, birthdays, smaller corporate events, winter kick-offs or year-end celebrations — really any occasion that suits an ice rink backdrop. The heated, comfortable private space can host up to 20 people and is yours exclusively for three hours. The rink is easily accessible via stairs, making it quick and simple to move between the two areas.

You can also host year-end or kick-off corporate events here, with access to a private terrace that overlooks the magical ice rink — a view your colleagues are sure to love. There’s even the option to rent the rink privately for an hour before opening or after closing. More details available here.

A few useful things to know
At KoriPark you can buy tickets for two types of sessions: standard (Monday–Thursday) and peak (Friday–Sunday, as well as during the winter break from 20 December to 4 January). Skate rental is available for HUF 2,499 while stocks last, with sizes ranging from 25 to 50.

Children can also rent support animals — seals or penguins — to help them gain confidence on the ice (HUF 999 for 30 minutes; HUF 1,999 for 60 minutes).

It’s worth using the cloakroom, and you can put on your skates either outside at several designated spots or inside the warm hütte.

The Park remains cashless during the winter season — you can pay by bank card or Festipay. The only exception is the ticket office, where cash payments are also accepted.
