Központ Birthday Bash

Központ has been a local favourite hangout for 12 years now – and to celebrate the anniversary, they're hosting a 3-day festival. Join them from 13 to 15 February at the gate of the party district for a lineup of exciting events – all free. Expect a true party and community experience: Thursday kicks off with a birthday house party featuring back-to-back DJ sets. On Friday, it's all about a masquerade ball, blending carnival and Valentine's vibes – creative costumes and a wild atmosphere guaranteed. Saturday eases into the weekend with a record fair and brunch combo, followed by a closing party to wrap up the celebrations in style.

Open Showroom: d'Alma Jewelry x Gallery East of Eden

If you'd try on nostalgic and cool contemporary jewels made and designed in Budapest, head to the Gallery East of Eden on 14 February! Jewellery and fine art are about to have a date here as the gallery transforms into an open showroom, presenting unique pieces by d'Alma Jewelry. Other works by contemporary Hungarian artists will complete the fun.

Anti-Valentine's Day Comedy Showcase

If you think the best way to spend Lover's Day is by roasting it, this show is for you. Whether you're single, taken, or stuck in an 'it's complicated' situation, you're welcome at Hot Paprika Comedy's upcoming show. Expect a night of hilarious stand-up as comedians take aim at love, dating, and everything in between. Doors open at 7 pm, and the show kicks off at 8 pm. Carnival and Farmers' Market on Hunyadi tér 2025

On 15th February (9 am - 2 pm), a special farmers' market is popping up at Hunyadi tér. Surely enough, you can fill your shopping basket with homemade marmalades, honey, hams, and other goodies from forty local producers. But carnival season will add some pizzazz to the shopping spree, bringing delicious doughnuts and live music with it. Take the whole family: children can get a nice face painting.

Folk Fashion Exhibition

The new exhibition at Hagyományok Háza (Hungarian Heritage House) explores the timeless link between Hungarian folk art and fashion. From the early 20th century to today, it showcases how folk culture inspired designers, featuring nearly 150 items, from clothing to accessories. Highlights include Paul Poiret's Matyó-inspired dresses, Gottex's iconic swimwear, and the uniforms worn at the London Olympics with Kalotaszeg motifs. Also on display is Márta Sebestyén's dress from her performance for Queen Elizabeth II, plus Lea Gottlieb's swimwear collection, shown for the first time in Europe – worn by models like Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer.

Coffee Bar Bazaar 2025

On 15th and 16th February, coffee enthusiasts will gather at Millenáris Park to celebrate the variety of brews. At the coffee expo, more than forty exhibitors will display their products, which means you can taste coffees, wines, beers, spirits and other drink specialities at the stalls. Side events will pop up too such as workshops, tastings, and competitions, where professional baristas will compete.

Mad Scientist Beer Tasting

Craft beer lovers, get ready for some banging pints this Saturday! Mad Scientist, one of Budapest's most beloved breweries, is hosting a laidback pop-up at Zugló' Egressy Udvar. They're bringing the goods – including a super exciting West Coast IPA infused with blood orange and black carrot juice. Sample it on the spot or grab some to-go. While the venue is outdoors, the vibes – and the food trucks – will make it worth sticking around. Plus, there's a heated tent to keep things cosy.

Weekend Bottomless Brunch at Ruin Brew

If unlimited scrambled eggs, French Toast and mimosas sound like your kind of weekend, book a table at the 7th-district hangout Ruin Brew for a Bottomless Brunch (11 am - 4 pm). Let us warn you: the amount of food on the buffet table is massive - all items are delicious, so arrive hungry! Also, come as you are - there is no dress code.

Spring Flower Fair at Kiskertpiac

On 16th February, Kiskertpiac, a vibrant farmers' market for plants and flowers, is bringing spring bouquets straight from local growers. Head to downtown Madhouse, and get lost in a colourful selection of tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils in 10 to 20-stem bunches. These blooms come directly from a tulip farm in Makó, but pre-orders are required. With minimal environmental impact, every bouquet helps support local producers.

Valentine's Afternoon Tea

If your ideal Valentine's Day involves pretty cakes, hearts, roses, and tea, then  The Living Room's afternoon tea is just the thing.
