The Brutalist has just hit cinemas, starring Adrien Brody – who's just landed an Oscar nomination. But he’s not the only one! Hungarian editor Dávid Jancsó also earned a nomination for the industry’s most prestigious film award.

Did you know that The Brutalist, the latest cinematic sensation, was mainly shot in Hungary? Or that its main character is a Hungarian Jewish architect? And there's another fun fact: Adrien Brody himself has Hungarian roots too. No wonder we feel an extra sense of pride about this film. And now, that pride has just doubled: Hungarian film editor Dávid Jancsó has been nominated for an Oscar for Best Editing. Huge congratulations!

The Brutalist follows a Hungarian Jewish architect who moves to America after World War II to pursue his dreams. This captivating US-UK-Hungarian co-production is a major contender at this year's Oscars, with an impressive 10 nominations. The awards ceremony kicks off on 3 March at 1 am.
