A new attraction has landed in Budapest: the Garden of Lights is set to dazzle the ELTE Botanical Gardens with magical light installations. Kicking off on October 18th, this multimedia exhibition features a Smurfs theme. That’s right – you can walk right into a storybook and meet Smart Smurf, Smurfette, Brainy Smurf, and even Gargamel. Whether you bring the whole family or go solo, it promises to be a night to remember.
Last year, we were whisked away to a magical world with Alice in Wonderland, this year, it's the Smurfs who guided us on a memorable journey at the ELTE Botanical Gardens. From October 18th to March 2nd, you can also step into a storybook realm right in the heart of the 8th district. It's guaranteed to spark nostalgia while setting the stage for the holiday season.
Swing by Smart Smurf's workshop, or seek out Smurfette – you'll have plenty of chances to catch them. Look for Brainy Smurf deep in thought beside a mushroom house, while, Harmony Smurf dazzles with special lights and music. You'll encounter other familiar characters from the Smurf community, including Jokey Smurf, Clumsy Smurf, the grumpy, bald Gargamel, and Azrael. The exhibition aims not only to entertain but also to educate, showcasing what it looks like when the residents of a small village come together to farm collaboratively. Adults can enjoy nostalgic moments, while kids will soak up this meaningful message. Plus, there's an interactive app game that everyone – both young and old – can play as they stroll through the installations. The exhibition will be on display at the ELTE Botanical Gardens until March 2nd.
