After a five-year hiatus, the Carlton Hotel has reopened its doors following a complete renovation. We had the pleasure of exploring the hotel from its ground floor to its stunning panoramic bunk rooms and indulging in a sumptuous breakfast.

This four-star hotel, built in the 1990s, is ideally located in Apor Péter utca, just a two-minute walk from the Chain Bridge and just a few minutes from the Buda Castle District. Even the central squares of Pest, Vörösmarty tér, and Deák tér, are easily accessible by public transport or on foot.

A classic hotel reimagined

The Carlton is the perfect choice for those seeking a comfortable stay in Budapest while exploring the city's main attractions. The hotel has been thoughtfully renovated and offers competitive rates compared to others in the area, along with special opening discounts. Book directly on their website by September 30th and enjoy a 20% discount for stays up to December 23rd.

95 comfortable rooms with fabulous views

Whatever your preference, the Carlton has a room to suit your needs. Choose from quieter options overlooking the inner garden or the bustling city, rooms with or without balconies, and those with a bath or shower.

We particularly enjoyed the top-floor rooms facing the Danube, which offer small balconies with breathtaking views of the Parliament and Fisherman's Bastion.

The comfortable beds can be converted from double to twin on request, and the decor is classic yet inviting. Larger rooms are also available for families, accommodating an extra bed or cot. For solo travellers, the Carlton offers single rooms, a rarity in Budapest.

A sumptuous breakfast and inviting bar

The Carlton's breakfast surpassed our expectations, offering a wider variety than typical hotel options. For those with a leisurely start, food and drinks are available until 11 am, while early birds can enjoy breakfast from 7 am in the cosy ground floor room. For those on the go, takeaway breakfast packs are available.

Beyond the standard hot breakfast options like eggs, the buffet features a delightful selection of delicacies, toasted sandwiches, salads, fruits, and a dedicated corner for an assortment of breads and pastries.

Catering to dietary needs, the breakfast includes gluten-free croissants, dairy-free yoghurt, and vegan, lactose-free, and gluten-free options.

The coffee corner is equally impressive, offering a wide range of milk, alternative milk, sweeteners, sugars, and whipped cream to complement the high-quality coffee. A perfect breakfast and coffee are an ideal way to start your day and sightseeing.

In the evening, the bar invites you to unwind with a drink in a pleasant atmosphere.

Excellent program offers and outstanding services

The Carlton goes beyond providing accommodation. Their Traveller's Dream packages include backpacks, tickets, thermoses, designer bags, and postcards, ensuring you have everything you need to explore the city. The friendly staff can assist with organizing activities and renting electric scooters or bicycles for convenient city exploration.

As part of the Eventrend Group, the Eventrend Bucketlist Collection vouchers offer guests a range of culinary experiences, from elegant dining to cosy cafés.

For your convenience, the hotel provides complimentary Wi-Fi and room service. Luggage storage and a wake-up service are available, ensuring you don't miss a thing. Additional amenities include ironing, dry cleaning, and laundry services (available for an extra charge). For those arriving by car, an electric car charger and garage are available. Small dogs are also welcome at the hotel.
